Sci-Fi Weekend.
Jan. 15th, 2006 01:27 pmTorrents are slow today, so still waiting for this week's BSG, but here are some thoughts on the Stargate side of fannishness...
( SG-1 9.12 - Collateral Damage )
( SGA recent stuff (as shown in Canada, mind) )
More on BSG when this damn torrent finally finishes.

Last Sci-Fi Friday for a while.
Sep. 16th, 2005 08:06 pmI should be packing, but taking three hours out for Sci-Fi Friday won't hurt.
( SG-1 9.09 - Prototype )
( SG-1 9.10 - The Fourth Horseman )
( BSG 9.9 - Flight of the Phoenix )
I won't be home to tape next week's eps, obviously, so I suppose it's downloads from here on out. Hopefully I'll be settled in more permanent accomodations by then.

Sci-Fi Friday thoughts.
Aug. 13th, 2005 11:24 pmMm, a controversial week, this. I actually read others' reviews this time before posting my own, and the diversity of opinions is interesting.

Sci-Fi Friday!
Aug. 7th, 2005 01:09 amWarning for huge-ass spoilers and squeeing.
( SG-1 9.04 - The Ties That Bind )
( SG: Atlantis 2.04 - Duet )
( BSG 2.04 - Resistance )
Is it sad that the Friday line-up is just about the only thing getting me from week to week these days? I'm going to try to last the month of August before quitting at M&M, but I'm quickly being tired out by working so much. I'm just tired all the time, not to mention bruised up and aching. The money is good, but I really don't have time for anything. I'm barely getting the prerequisite reading I need for the course done. I swear, I hate my life right now. Can I just leave for Wales now, please?

SG-1 S9 Promo Pics
Aug. 1st, 2005 04:27 amNew team promo pic I haven't seen before is up at MS-online, looks like it's from the Sci-Fi Channel site. Unless it's a fluke, it appears Sam won't be keeping that longish tangled mess of hair she's been sporting lately. Can I say thank god for that? I've always thought she was prettiest when her hair was very short; lately it's been a mess and always in her face, so much that I wanted to shove some scissors, a hair brush and some gel at her.
Looks like Teal'c stole her hair gel, but she did manage the scissors and brush and maybe he'll be the sharing sort. Ben has perpetual bed-head, and Landry's hair continues to resemble a porcupine. Still like Daniel's beard, but I probably won't mourn it once it's gone. Vala should always wear pigtails, dammit.
We've always been able to track the seasons by SG-1's hairstyles. Nice to know that tradition will continue.

Sci-Fi Friday!!
Jul. 31st, 2005 01:33 am( SG-1 9.03 Origin )
( SG: Atlantis 2.03 - Runner )
( BSG 2.03 - Fragged )
You know, I love how much great info has been collected at the BSG Wikipedia, but geez, could they have chosen a color scheme any harder on the eyes? I know it matches the pretty seal, but omg, the retinal pain.

Sci-Fi Friday!
Jul. 24th, 2005 05:25 amBit more of a delay on this one due to a last minute dinner party type thing to which I was unexpectedly invited. More on that later. First, more important things!
( SG-1 9.02 - Avalon part two )
( SG: Atlantis 2.02 - The Intruder )
( BSG 2.02 - Valley of Darkness )
Ok, I'm ready for next week. *dreads the work week ahead but knows there will be a nice reward at the end of it*

Gah! Got home after my nicely hellish work week (omg, am so tired), ended up having to run around this morning doing urgent errands, then came home after being up for over 24 hours and crashed. Slept 10 hours and now am FINALLY getting to watch my Sci-Fi Friday that I taped last night.
Having SG-1, 'lantis, and BSG back will so make up for working two jobs. *bounces*
( Cut, not for casting spoilers b/c those are now fair game, but for actual new episode spoilers yay! )
In other news, I got my hair cut today. The hairdresser did something a bit different this time, and I'm very much in love with it. Now I just have to learn to recreate it, oy. *buys hair gel type stuff for the first time, omg*

The Chicago Tribune just interviewed Ben Browder, David Hewlett, Claudia Black and Gary Jones - check it out here.
Tons of spoilers, so click carefully.
( For those eagerly snapping up any and all Duet spoilers... )
Also, if you scroll up a bit, there's a link to an interview with Jamie Bamber. Includes a mention of working on Hornblower.
Scroll down to find bits about Joan of Arcadia and House (great interview with Hugh, including a bit about Stephen Fry and a possible guest role for him).
