Shrove Tuesday is a fine thing. My Swedish pancakes turned out quite yummy, and I managed to find some of the traditional lingonberry jam at the market (pricey stuff, though, ouch) to which I've taken quite a liking.

We had a pancake supper at St. Luke's tonight, which was fun. There was a Mardi Gras theme - I now have shiny beads (which I had to do absolutely nothing to get :P). Silver, copper, gold, and a light metallic purple go really well together. I may use that as a color scheme for something. Shiny...

There was a moment of cruel teasing on tonight's Scrubs, when Dr. Cox and guest star Brendan Fraser came this close *Cas holds up fingers about an inch apart* from snogging. I was all "OMG, are they gonna do what it looks like they're about to do?" and then, nothing. Joke. Fraser's character announces himself still the champion of "gay chicken". Grrr. Don't tease us like that.

Watched episode 10 of Miracles, "Saint Debbie", tonight. Fell even more in love with Alva Keel, if that's possible. Dear lord, that is one sexy, complex Scotsman. *drools a bit* God, I love this show. I'm going to be whining about its unfair cancellation for months.

I've friended quite a few people recently, so hi and welcome *waves to [livejournal.com profile] alvafan, [livejournal.com profile] chazzbanner, [livejournal.com profile] deborak, [livejournal.com profile] icepixie, and [livejournal.com profile] schiarire*

Icon!

Ramen is...well...it varies a lot. If "real" pasta works for you then that's good. I like both personally.

Hee. The pic is from the funny little webcomic Nice Hair (http://www.yinepu.net/nicehairindex.html). Tim Burton (the dude in the icon), Neil Gaiman, and others in comic form. Too funny. And I've always loved the hawk/handsaw Shakespeare quote.

So it's actually good? I'd heard so many bad things about it I'd never tried it. It's cheap, though, so that's gotta count for something :)

I read Nice Hair. :)

It really depends-Instant Ramen or Cup O' Noodles or whatever can be bad but ramen that cooks more or less like pasta is better. I like Maruchan but there are a lot of brands. And generally what you get at a restaurant will be even better, and so on.

Ah, not surprised. Good taste, and all that.

Hm, may have to give it a try someday, then. Just to have the experience :)

It can't hurt. Or at least not much. :)
