More Joy needed.
Feb. 14th, 2009 12:26 amStill nothing fannish to say just yet, as I fail at watching things, reading things, and being involved very much lately. I will catch up on the new BSG eps at some point, I swear.
Today, however, I acquired the best squee-inducing things ever:
I have purple shoes! Seriously, this photo doesn't even begin to do them justice on just how purple they are. They're Rocket Dog "ice cream" sneakers in "electric purple". shanola22 and was very, very tempted. I don't do $60 tennis shoes, however, at least not the frivolous kind that aren't proper running shoes or something. They were only knocked down to $32, so I passed on them. But never could quite forget the awesome purpleness.
Today I went by on a whim and they were still there, in my size. Marked down even further to $24. This, I decided, was a sign. I haven't bought anything nice for myself in a while, and since I'm getting not only my tax return soon but an additional $80 from my rewards points on my credit card, I figured at least some of that could go for a nice treat.
I am going to wear the hell out of these things all summer. I will blind people with the electric purpleness of my feet. ♥
