Well, finally got word from Steven that Steak'n Shake will hire me back for a few months. Yay, money. Unfortunately, I don't go in for orientation (heh, like I need it. I still remember every frelling thing about that place) until Tuesday. Grrrr. I'm starting to feel unproductive and more than a little bored just sitting around the house all the time. I spend far too much online when I'm unemployed.

Oh well. As much as I don't really want to go back to the restaurant environment, it's familiar and I won't have to learn anything new or be trained, and there are still people I know. Heh. Rather amusing people. When I called Steven last night, he got all excited, told me the news, and then shouted rather loudly to the other employees that "Bitchface is coming back to work with us again!".

Yes, I know. People, wherever I go, persist in giving me strange and possibly obscene nicknames. That one's actually rather tame compared to some of the names they called me over there...

That's another thing about working at S'nS. The expletive content of my vocabulary goes straight into the gutter. At least I'll be working in the back, where I won't get in trouble for doing it around customers. Oh, the thought of making desserts and milkshakes again all day...

Also good news - finally got my eBay account reinstated. Damn thing kept getting hacked last year, and they finally suspended it. Spent a while in their Live Chat service tonight with a representative, and sorted everything out. This may or may not be a good thing, as now I'm once again able to buy nice shiny things, shiny things like David Hewlett DVDs. Eep.
