David Hewlett in Darklight

The Sci-Fi Channel is now showing previews for Darklight, their new movie starring not only David Hewlett, but also Richard Burgi of The Sentinel. Plus John deLancie. It looks like Sci-Fi's usual fare, but omg, there's something in it worth any amount of cheese.
Shirtless David! He must be hiding something under McKay's clothes, b/c he looks quite good in this movie (from what I could tell in the few seconds of the preview, anyway). Kinda buff like we was in that Boa vs. Python thing I've heard was so cheesetastic. It looks like he has the longer hair again, too, which...yeah, guh.
I've been sitting through this stupid movie marathon on SFC trying to see the right preview - there are two, one that's a bit shorter and doesn't have David, and one with the yummy shirtless scene. They're showing the shorter one more often, annoyingly enough. Still, it's worth the wait, if you want to watch out for it.
Btw, Darklight premieres on Sci-Fi on September 18th.

Date: 2004-09-05 08:09 pm (UTC)Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter? *boggles*

Date: 2004-09-05 09:09 pm (UTC)It pretty much continues in that vein.... with a small break for a dance/music number. And an occasional crazy bearded guy in a bush.
I reccommend it, if for nothing less than the laugh factor. Watch for the clown car scene; you'll know it when you see it. :D

Date: 2004-09-06 02:38 pm (UTC)The best part about "House" is the random appearance of George Wendt. No, wait, it's the obviously fake demon swordfish. No, wait, it's the huge ghoul wife that gets decapitated. No, wait, it's zombie!Bull from "Night Court". No, wait...

The tag for the movie is: "Ding dong, you're dead"
Back home with my friends, general operating procedure for a weekend is go to Blockbuster and rent the worst movie we can find, typically from the foreign, horror or kung-fu categories (after debating for over an hour, of course), and then just MST the hell out of it. We're party animals, let me tell you.
