Crushes? What crushes?

*headdesk*
Am seriously fangirling Paul McGillion and David Hewlett, known to SGA fans as Doctors Carson Beckett and Rodney McKay. Really, the squee is getting embarrassing. I feel slightly better knowing these guys are only about 10 or 12 years older than I am, which may be a record for me (only guessing about McGillion's age, as am thus far unable to find an age listed).
Trying to hunt down other movie and tv appearances for these two is proving damn difficult, though. I've yet to see Hewlett in anything else, most of his movies being hard-to-find Canadian and/or Indie films.
McGillion's movies also seem mostly Canadian and the made-for-tv sort, but thanks to tv series made in Vancouver, have hit a small gold mine for guest appearances. Was quite happy to see IMDB list him for several of my fandoms - The Sentinel, The X-Files, and Smallville.
Dug out my Sentinel tapes and watched his ep, "Love Kills" (the one where Jim's old flame, Lila, shows up and wreaks havoc). His character is a tech geek named (get this) Boz Tate, who is unfortunately a criminal, albeit a cute and geeky one. He wears adorable glasses (I am now of the opinion that Carson should sport some specs sooner or later), is clean shaven and uses a very respectable American accent. He also wears black leather, which is more than enough reason to sit through this ep.
His X-Files episode is one of my favorites, "Small Potatoes", and now that I watch it again I'm all "oh yeah! That was him. I remember thinking he was cute." He's the husband of one of the mothers who have the babies with the tails (see this ep if you can, it's hysterical). He gets to say "sperm" twice *g* His hair's all slicked back, he's again clean shaven, uses the American accent, and gets to wear very nice suits. He's only in the first half of the ep, but gives a quite nice performance.
Haven't been able to locate his SV ep, "Insurgance", yet, mostly due to my lack of labeling the SV tapes. Oops.
He also has his own website, professionally done (but takes a while to load), here. Plenty of great pics (including one with him and Nic Lea, which made my eyes pop out and resulted in a not-so-small amount of drool), and there are even video clips. Looks like someone put together little pimping vids for his roles, almost like fanvids. Some cool stuff there (including some guh-worthy clips), so check it out. His bio says he was born in Paisley, Scotland, so it looks like Beckett's dreamy accent is real.
The Beckett/McKay pairing is already special, b/c it's one of few where I'm absolutely head over heels in love with both characters. With most pairings, I have a clear favorite, and occasionally I have issues with one of them to the point of irritation. I would be hard-pressed at this point to choose between Carson and Rodney, though. I already adore them both, which makes for a very happy slasher indeed.
