Had lunch with
cimmerianwillow today, when we found that there's a sure-fire way to get noticed, and possibly flirted with, when one goes out in public: wear a hat. Hats get noticed, especially when one is female.
Our waiter at Applebees quite liked our hats, and proceded to flirt with us throughout the meal. He said he rarely saw girls wear hats, and wondered if we were in a club or gang or something, then seemed amused when Willow informed him no, we just had a hat fetish. He was cute, too.
One of the divers at the aquarium flirted with me too, when I was wearing the same hat.

This shall be my lucky hat now, I think.
I have nothing else of interest to say, really. For the past two weeks at work, we've been giving the TCAP (the TN state assessment test), which my boss and I had to read aloud for the special ed kids, and it's worn me out. My poor brain is dead. *mourns for the brain* Good thing we get Easter break next week.

Date: 2004-04-03 09:19 pm (UTC)Oh good LORD, the TCAP. I hated that test. Every year, another week of insult to pretty much everyone's intelligence. Bleh. Although come to think of it, I got a whole lot of extra-curricular reading done that week during the times between each portion of the test, so perhaps it wasn't all bad.
*mourns for your brain as well*
You're getting spring break on Easter week? Nashville started doing it in March four years ago, I think, after another Easter that was in mid-April, three weeks before school got out. Yeah, that was useless. ;)

Ooooh... Nice. Wish my college would do that. But we don't even get public holidays (Labor Day, MLK Day, etc.) off. Sigh.
Nice hat...
Date: 2004-04-04 03:57 pm (UTC)Hmmmm maybe I'll go out wearing my SU hat and see what happens, probably nothing, I've worn it out a few times.
