Icon therapy, GIP.

I hate this time of the month. I'm just about ready to dig out my reproductive bits with a spork. To look on the bright side, I'm glad I can get this over with before going to back to work on Monday, but still, it's left me not feeling like doing much of anything requiring movement during my break. I've pretty much squandered the last few days.
On the productive end of things, I did manage to balance my checkbook and make shortbread. The checkbook had no surprises (whee! Now I get to do my taxes...) and the shortbread is yummy.
I also spent much of the day watching cartoons. 80s cartoons. Um, Care Bears, to be exact. (Shut up. Yes, I am five years old. Shut up.) I saw the first movie on DVD at Walmart for a cheap price and snagged it, b/c as I said, I am five. I swear, these are the most saccharine, cheesy little movies, but when I sit down in front of them, I regress back to childhood and just sit there and giggle. This is what my sister and I do to bond, actually. We pull out old cartoons from the 80s and laugh ourselves silly. She likes Rainbow Brite better than the Care Bears, though.
Thus, GIP. I needed a food icon anyway, and having one with Grumpy kills two birds with one stone. I spent the rest of the day surfing for websites about old cartoons (I'm now very scared at what's out there, especially concerning fanfiction...*shudder*) and looking for pics (I also downloaded a bunch of songs from the movies, just to giggle at, of course. Shut up). Here are the results of much inspiration: dragons and wolves and bears, oh my...

Um, that last one is totally not my fault. It's all
thingswithwings's fault, for writing a very deranged little piece of CB slash. Yes, you read that right. Don't follow the link if you think there's a possibility of you being squicked.
*sigh* Alas for my maturity and sanity levels. I did watch Lagaan again last night, so maybe that balances it all out.
ETA: It appears that Photobucket is being crappy again and making the red text all blurry. Sorry 'bout that. *kicks Photobucket*

The fact that there is My Little Pony slash out there makes me want to go hide under a rock. Auuugh...

Date: 2004-03-13 10:36 am (UTC)MLP slash? Eep. I do hope it's parody and not serious fic. I swear, I will never be shocked by anything in fandom. Surprised maybe, but never shocked. We have it all.

Dunno. Didn't read any further than "slash." *shudder*

And I try to stay away from about three quarters of it... ;)
