New icons, RotK tidbit, and a GIP.

What ho, everyone. My, what a week this has been. I'm so glad it's an abbreviated one. Got today off (which I squandered), tomorrow is inservice (no kids, woohoo!), and Monday is a holiday. Let us all give a great big huzzah for long weekends!
To further brighten my week, I received a lovely package in the mail from
writerlibrarian containing the Éowyn/Éomer CD insert card from TTT soundtrack (whee! so much pretty) and a box of Canadian maple tea (which I've never had before, and is quite yummy). Thanks so much, Chantal! *hugs*
Speaking of LOTR, it seems Imrahil was in RotK after all. One of the Decipher game cards
says so, anyway. I remember this guy, mostly because he's a Kiwi actor who's been in several Hercules and Xena eps, and I had been wondering if he was someone important in the movie. However, neither IMDB nor TORN actually lists Imrahil as a character. After much googling, I finally tracked down the actor - David Aston, who is listed on IMDB, but as "Gondorian Soldier 3". He was Tyldus in the Xena ep "Hooves and Harlots", and I know he was in Hercules but I can't find any listings for it and can't remember which ep it was. It's driving me crazy so if anyone recalls his other roles, drop me a line.
Anyway, Imrahil. Cool. He even got a few lines, though it sucks that one has to go to so much effort to figure out who his character is. I wonder what other minor characters were in the movie without being acknowledged.
Much playing with Photoshop today, thus, iconage. Free to a good home.

ETA: I've noticed that Photobucket, while a great place to store and link to pics, tends to make some of the text on my icons a bit fuzzy. If anyone wants the second Rebecca icon, I'll have a cleaner version up on my icon page.
Also, GIP, inspired by new friend
circe_tigana. I know, I know. Handbasket. At least there's a pretty view.

Date: 2004-02-12 08:47 pm (UTC)Thank you! And it's good to have you back from the land of computer problems. Btw, did you see tonight's WaT? Eep! I'm filled with the Danny-love tonight :)
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 08:56 pm (UTC)Ah, good point. Somewhere in the mountains of extra footage he must have a scene or too. At least I hope so. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed! *g*
Argh, my computer. So, so evil. And now I'm even more behind... But I'm right there with you on the Danny-love! The little tear! Eeeee! I'm busily typing up my post on it now, so hopefully TSCITW will behave for a few more minutes at least.

Date: 2004-02-12 09:00 pm (UTC)Eep, yes! I was like "OMG, is he crying? He is! He's so cool!". Rather a dark ep, but that bit got me all excited. And he and Martin got to work together some, so all was good. Looking forward to reading your post :)

Date: 2004-02-15 07:56 pm (UTC)Btw, still in the process of burning your CDs. I annoyingly found out my laptop won't let me make direct copies (or at least, I can't figure the program out), but I can record them into MP3s and then burn new CDs. So we're getting there :) Will have your package in the mail soon.
