Merlin series finale.

castaliaI knew it was probably coming, but I'm still sitting up on Christmas Eve with red eyes because I just cried my way through the entire final episode. Way to break my heart on Christmas, BBC. WAY TO GO.
The reveal was just about everything I could've wanted (other than a version where Arthur already knew), especially considering Merlin and Arthur got to spend the majority of the episode alone together, working things out. Arthur got to see Merlin's magic in action, got to think about all the times he'd been saved by that magic, and was able to reconcile everything. I loved it.
I was still hoping that maybe, just maybe, they'd buck the legend and allow Merlin to save Arthur. I do like that Merlin is still there, waiting for the time when Arthur will rise again. And now I'm expecting a million present day fics to pop up about this (for once I might actually read those, tbh).
More late when I'm not so exhausted and can construct decent sentences. But holy shit, show. Holy shit. Crying forever.
