castaliaOkay, this is several days old so I may be the last to know, but word is that the BBC is going to completely do away with the 12 Regenerations Only piece of show canon. No explanations, just gone. And even odder, they're going to do it in Eleven's upcoming appearance on the Sarah Jane Adventures rather than address it in the parent show.

I wonder whose call that was. It seems like a blithe way to get rid of such an old "rule". I had been expecting something more grand if they chose to retcon that, maybe something special on the 13th regeneration that would negate the rule. But no, looks like they're just going to ignore any reasoning behind it. Hrm.
