Okay, so, not as awesome but still enjoyable. More plot this time and some exposition.

I wish they hadn't made Alice such a moron about calling the police to look for Jack. Did she really think they'd just connect her to him? Argh. And that whole thing just serves to point out how creepy CCTV can be in the UK.

Team Criminals was fun; of course Gwen is going to use her policewoman knowledge to steal the things they need. I liked that it was all mundane tricks and not super spy stuff.

Loved Ianto going shopping for essentials, especially the military surplus clothing for Jack. We can't have Captain Jack without that coat.

It was interesting to see Ianto asking about the bomb and how it felt; Jack isn't very forthcoming but at least they're talking about this stuff. I like that Ianto knows Jack has had and will have many significant relationships, and he's fine with that and just wants to have as much time as he can have in his own lifetime. Now we just need Jack's viewpoint on things.

I liked the blue glow of the alien room thing, and the noises were interesting, but all the greenish muck splashing about and the flailing all the time? WTF is that about?

Whatever the nature of this "previous encounter" with the 456, it must be really bad for Frobisher to stand there and give "conditions" to a potentially hostile alien species. I mean, damn.

Glad to see PC Andy still, and helping out as much as he can. Yay!

The PM continues to be utterly evil and self-serving. First he shunts off his duties to Frobisher, then he washes his hands of the whole thing and dumps it all on the civil service in general. Harriet would never have done this crap.

And of course I liked Frobisher a bit, despite the blank page order and whatnot, b/c he was doing his job more or less, but it's sad that Lois's lame "He asked me to come, personally" ploy worked b/c he has a history of it. Lame, Rusty.

I hope that's some super powered cleaning solution those lenses are kept in. B/c if there's anything you absolutely shouldn't share with other people, it's contact lenses. Especially considering Gwen, Rhys, and Ianto have all used them in their Perve Patrol shenanigans.

Do they still teach shorthand in schools? I've always wanted to know how to do it. I love that Ianto knows.

But oh, Jack. Why the hell did you give 12 kids to a bunch of aliens. A "gift"? That makes no sense. I could almost buy it in a "here, we'll do this and you'll go away and never come back" thing, but even then, no. Not worth it. What the hell.

This episode wasn't quite as riveting as the first two, but most of that is due to all the diplomatic stuff and the news reporters and whatnot. Not as action-packed. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I loved that. Torchwood: where anything can be a sex toy.

I just had to shake my head, b/c they still haven't learned not to take the work toys home to play with. I'll bet Gwen sent the contacts home with Rhys so he could tease her while she watched from work on the laptop.

Damn, I need some Gwen icons. She makes the best faces.
