Again with the awesome! Oh Rusty, I fall for this every time, hoping this arc might be the one time you don't yank the football away at the last second.
Rhys remains my favorite ever. Brave, resourceful, loyal to Gwen, and not ashamed to be practical and be the one to ask about food, money, etc. I ♥ Rhys. And I so want him and Gwen to come out of this in one piece, together.
I know being only 3 weeks pregnant isn't very far along, but I love when we get a pregnant woman kicking ass and taking names. I got Aeryn flashbacks!
Ianto's family remains awesome, and if the series continues in any capacity I hope we get more of his sister. And his chav brother-in-law who may be annoying but will come through in a pinch with his army of estate kids.
Lois was cool with her rebelling and questioning and spying and shit. Though I still think no one with clearance like Spears would ever, EVER give the new girl her password just to set up an automated reply thing on the company email. There's trusting, and then there's just being dumb.
Escape via forklift was also dumb, but it wouldn't be Torchwood if we didn't have that moment of the absolutely ridiculous. Plus it was good to see Ianto rescuing his boyfriend, wearing a hard hat no less.
I can't remember any aliens we've seen so far who rely on such a toxic atmosphere to breathe, so I suppose the alien menace will be new this time? The whole "if he talks we're in deep shit" line suggests Jack knows about the 456 thing, which must be pretty damning towards the government if they're willing to kill anyone who knows about it. Plus the final scene with the 456 expert guy made me think he's in on it somehow. He seemed far too eager for the arrival to happen.
At least we don't have to wait a week in between episodes. More, please!

I started thinking the 456 expert Frobisher was relying on *was* one of the guys coming. Somehow modified so he could live in this atmosphere. Might as well be the guy everyone's going to for information...
