I'm going to miss this show so much.

Considering the title, The Legend of Merle McQuoddy, I had a feeling this whole episode was a strange callback to narrator Jim Dale's role in Pete's Dragon. When the lighthouse keeper's name turned out to be Nora, whose husband was lost at sea, and the kid's name was Elliot, I was even more convinced.
Then they broke out the a capella version of Candle on the Water. I love this show.
I also love that, although they just can't let Olive's crush on Ned drop, she and Emerson had some lovely moments of friendship and he even offered her a place as a junior P.I. in his business if she ever needed to leave the Pie Hole. Oh, ♥
However, I really wish they'd re-dead Chuck's dad. He's kinda creepy.

And, oh, Olive & Emerson rocked tonight. Though I think my fave scene was early on in the Pie Hole when Elliot came by and they're all standing around...being themselves. Awesome, awesome characters.
