Actor Don S. Davis died yesterday at the age of 65
Dr Who squee takes a back seat to some sadness. Don S. Davis has been in nearly every show I've watched that was filmed in Vancouver, as a guest or a regular. Whether as General Hammond or Papa Scully, he always left a big impact. I'll miss seeing him, and I'm sure his appearance in the upcoming SG-1 movie will be bittersweet.

Date: 2008-06-30 11:19 pm (UTC)I met him, the year my mother came to Dragon*Con. He traded heart surgury stories with her, just a down to earth, sincere guy. When my mother moved on, I told him how he'd made my mom so happy, and he was so gracious, so nice.
He was a class act.
