OMG, that was the greatest thing EVER. It was made for me and is the best birthday present I could have gotten. Seriously, the timing of this could not be better.
Five was still FIVE and was cute and had the outfit and the celery and Ten was just such a big fanboy and grinned a lot and OMG.
"Brave choice, celery, but fair play to you; not a lot of men can carry off a decorative vegetable."
"What's wrong with my TARDIS? You've changed the desktop theme, haven't you?" *snerk*
"It could blow a hole in the space time-continuum the size of...well, actually, the exact size of Belgium. That's a bit undramatic, isn't it? Belgium?"
The comparative specs! I nearly died! And a LINDA reference!
Five and Ten: "Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey." HEE!
I thought the beard joke was a bit much (seriously, Moffat, your gay agenda is showing much more than Rusty's), but everything else was made of pure WIN. I wibbled so much when Ten(nant) declared "You were my Doctor". *flail*
"Pretty sort of marvelous" indeed. So much love. So much that I've run out of exclamation points.

Yep. I just watched it on YouTube. And Tennat was a very happy fan boy.

Date: 2007-11-17 04:57 pm (UTC)They've done this sort of thing before, wanting the Doctor to meet himself/his other regenerations. The current actor, David Tennant, watched the Fifth Doctor when he was young, so he's adopted several mannerisms as a tribute to that, and a lot in this sketch was a chance for him to say that and basically be a bit of a fanboy. Pure cheese, just for fun, but it made for a great sketch.
Does that help any? *g* This is a hard show to explain.

Date: 2007-11-17 05:40 pm (UTC)I was a big Who fan back in the early/mid '80s when the Baker/Davison eps were on. Didn't much like the docs that came after them so I skipped most of 6 - 7, didn't watch much of 9, and have seen about a third of 10s, all out of order, lol.
