castalia: (Eberts quote)

Could never resist this sort of meme.

Ten references I expect my nearest and dearest to get (at least some of):

1. "Do you think death could possibly be on a boat?"

2. "There's a very easy way to define friendship: a friend is someone who won't stop until he finds you and brings you home."

3. "Have we sent the 'Don't shoot us, we're pathetic' transmission yet?"

4. "Please explain to me the scientific nature of 'the whammy'."

5. "Why are you purple?"

6. "Undomesticated equines could not remove me."

7. "So you say a few words. You make a gesture. You remember an important date. A small price to pay for what you get in return. For what you get in return, it's a steal."

8. "What, you never had an invisible friend?"
"I had invisible enemies."

9. "I don't want to be molded; I'm not a jelly."

10. "I never go to the bathroom."

ETA: Wow, that was fast. You guys got them all, even #10, and without a wrong guess among you. I'm so tempted to do some more now.

You win at this game! I'm going to have to come up with more quotes, b/c I could do this all day.

Isaac could provide all the deep quotes one could ever need for this sort of thing. I heart Isaac.

Which ep is #3 from again? And I swear I should know the purple quote, but it's escaping me at the moment.

And oh, Bobby Hobbes, I miss you and your invisible enemies.

#3 is from Out of Their Minds, the body swap ep. So much goodness out of that one, I could've quoted the whole thing.

I knew you'd get #8. Yay, Bobby Hobbes!

I *knew* it, but I was sure it couldn't be that episode due to having too many other wonderful things in it. (But then, I cannot resist a good body swap episode in practically any show.)

Bobby Hobbes is da man!

2. Due South? (I think it was Fraser’s dad, but I could be wrong… been a long time since I’ve seen the show.)
3. Fars cape (gods, that show was fantastic for snark.)
5. Hercules: the Legendary Journeys. Of course.
8. Invisible Man

1. Yup
2. Yes, and it was Fraser's dad. From Manhunt, first season.
3. Oh, it so was. I had such a hard time picking only one quote.
5. Whee! I knew a bunch of you would get that right off.
8. Yup!
9. Yes, indeed! From the pilot, as spoken by Bertie to his Aunt Agatha.

*twirls you* I'm so happy someone got this!!! It's one of my all-time favorite moments from the A-Team, and for some reason it never fails to crack me up. I think it's the utter dead-pan delivery from Hannibal. Hee.

As soon as I looked at this entry, that one popped out at me and I could hear Hannibal saying it in my mind. It stood out for the same reasons you mentioned - it cracks me up everytime. :D I feel like they need to show that scene in acting school as an example of line delivery.

I was worried that they wouldn't re-run that episode because it's about plane hijacking, but I was glad to see they still do just for that line. *goes to break out A-Team DVD's*

5. Prince Hercules. Oh yeah. Purple.

You know what, I caught by the purest of luck an episode of Andromeda last week while I was having back problems. I was just channel surfing and well, I hadn't seen that one, so I started watching. It took me over 15 minutes to realize... it was Michael... yep the Michael Hurst episode. The character was bugging me from the start. I was going I know this guy, I know this guy and then ... well, there was a line almost word for word from Hercules and I went.. OH MY GOD it's Michael.

If my Hercules DVD weren't in boxes, I would take out season 3 and watch some episodes.

Purple. Squee.

OMG, I remember that ep. Didn't Michael have black slicked-back hair in that? No wonder he's not instantly recognizable in it. *g*

Alas, I only have season one on DVD so far, and I have no idea where some of my video tapes are. I haven't watched any Herc in ages.

Yep that's the episode. I didn't "see" him until the Herk line between him and Kevin. It was like a lightbulb moment. You know like .. Oh...

I watched Bitter Suite a few months ago and it didn't age well.

Eh, at least you remembered 5. I'm tempted to do another round, just b/c I have so many damn tv shows I could quote, Rome certainly among them.

I can't believe you haven't watched the ending yet! You have such will power :)
