Hugs to [livejournal.com profile] rosabuddatchery, [livejournal.com profile] sensefille, [livejournal.com profile] viola_cesario, [livejournal.com profile] skutir, [livejournal.com profile] bitterhader, and [livejournal.com profile] tufted for making the Thank You, Jeeves chat so enjoyable! What fun.

We chatted about the book, Wodehouse in general, the fashions of the period, and all manner of things Plummy. It was wonderful to talk with so many fellow J&W fans at one time in one place. Ah, the wonders of the internet! We shall definitely have to do this again.

We females also decided to try and hit a few vintage clothing stores this week and see what sorts of 20s and 30s items we could find. Our criteria? WWJS! ;)

I now also have a tremendous desire for heliotrope pajamas, preferably with a gold stripe. Bertie as an accessory would be lovely, but no Pauline Stokers, please.

Thank you all for a fabulous evening. Pip-pip!

The chat was highly enjoyable. I liked your idea of having one on a regular basis. We need to talk about that more.

Let's see what we can rustle up at those vintage clothing stores!

Certainly. How often do you think we could have one? Weekly, bi-weekly, once or twice a month?

This is actually tempting me to hit the yard sales and flea market this weekend *g*

Weekly or bi-weekly works for me, if everyone can fit that. The next few weeks might be difficult with vacations and Audrey moving and so forth, but once things settle down I'm all for making this a very regular thing.

Who knows? You may find some very Plummy (*groan*) things at those sales.

I can work with that. And I have no problem with waiting a bit until everyone gets settled, what with moving, school starting, etc. I'm sure by then, we'll need the stress relief!

Lol. Very punny ;)

Yeah, we definitely should do that on a regular basis, it was so much fun! :D:D:D:D

Tee hee, all things Plummy. We need WWJS hats or something...maybe WWJS purple socks ;)

I can't wait to see what's in those stores...I have a great desire for heliotrope pajamas as well!

toodle-pip!

I agree, we should set that up!

Purple socks! Hee. Hey, they have places in the malls here that personalize hats. I wonder how much it would be to get WWJS on the front, and then the phrase written out on the back, maybe. Or I could get a kit and make my own t-shirt. Hmm...the mind boggles :)

Hahaha. That would be fun. :) If I could do embroidery I'd so make myself a pair of those socks. A hat or shirt would be fun too :)

Oh! The chat was wonderful. It was so nice to talk with all of you. Jolly grand. :) I definitely agree this is something that needs to be done again (and again). :) :) How about rifling through all the books? Maybe one a week, or every other?

Best of luck scrounging up Wodehouse gear. I haven’t started yet, but, methinks tomorrow I’m going to give some vintage shops a whirl--and see if that Stiffy dress is still there, not that I would buy it, but you know for larks…highly doubt it’s still there though.

This has nothing to do with the chat whatsoever, but your CDs are in the mail. ::g::
