...than to read comments at YouTube. People are already griping that Marija Serifovic shouldn't have won Eurovision b/c:

1) Serbia is too poor to host the next one. (Even if this is true, there are ways around that, with so many countries involved.)

2) No one knows where Serbia even is. (Is this the best argument they can come up with? Geez.)

3) They stole the song. (I think someone might notice if they did that. Sweden had to justify their song, too.)

4) She's a lesbian and androgynous. (And?)

5) The song isn't in English. (...you're really reaching now.)

*headdesks repeatedly*

I think the Eurovision should go back to the rule that songs must be in the native language of the country. Too many songs in English!

Silly people. It seems like winning the Eurovision is the only blot on Marija Serifovic's otherwise exemplary conduct. Distance from the contest has been one of the advantages of my current location. I think American emo bands are much more comedy than anything in Europe
