Yay, the good eps are back! After suffering through the two-parter with its bad accents, cheesy rubber masks, and the Showgirl/Pigman romance, I was ready for something other than a historical. Although, I suppose I'll give them some props for the kid with the not-the-worst-I've-heard-on-TV Tennessee accent, and for actually having him put in the "superior intelligence" category thus avoiding the stereotype.

Anyway.

I was not bored at all this week. Crazy science experiments! Martha kicking ass and taking names! More allusions to Mr Saxon and we actually got to meet him this time. And he seems to be intimately acquainted with the Doctor, at least enough that he's warning the companion's mother about him. Whoo!

I like Tish, especially when she and Martha are being all brave and clever together. Can we keep her, too? And Leo could tag along for the ride and we'd have a great little group for a change.

Although, speaking of groups, the previews made me squee so damn much. Captain Jack! The guy from Life on Mars! Man, I can't wait.

Also, before I forget, Ten with tux + chucks = win!

Edited to add: Also also, the Doctor turning the organ up to eleven!! Spinal Tap references also FTW!

Eurovision next week, which is a bummer on the one hand b/c it means I have to wait to see all that awesomeness they teased us with, but on the other hand, Eurovision! Still, nothing will be as much fun as last year's winner. Lordi FTW!

And now I've abused enough exclamation marks for one post. Yikes.

Martha's mum is awesome, though I do wonder about the dysfunctional status of the family and whether or not we'll be seeing another "getting the family back together" type of thing like we did with the Tylers.
