Finally found a source for Pirates of the Caribbean screen caps! Most were of Jack and Will, but I did manage to find a few of the elusive minor characters.

Icons found here. ealgylden gets first crack at the Jack/Black Pearl and Barbossa/Apples icons as thanks for the inspiration :)

In other news, I'm having a MASH renaissance. This makes it very difficult to resist buying the 4th season that just came out. I didn't want the first three seasons, but BJ and Potter arrive in the 4th, and $30 isn't too bad for the DVDs. Still, I shall wait until I have a *full-time* job before splurging.

Eee! Black Pearl! Apples! And you even mentioned Barbossa's hat! They're fabulous! And I'm really liking the fonts- they have personality. Great pick of Jack. I love that expression. Yay!

Well, I'm definitely nicking the Jack/Pearl one, as long as you don't mind, but since there are two equally cool Barbossas, what's your preference? Oh, and your lobster one is great- yay for the lobster love! I'm impressed that you were able to find such nice pics, them not being Orli and all. Very cool.

(Gee, I think I just used up my quota of exclamation marks for the week. Oh well, icons make me happy. *g*)

Of course you can have the Jack/Black Pearl! And I don't really have a preference, so just choose which Barbossa icon you want. Or, if you have another caption in mind, I've got a few more shots of him.

So glad you like the lobster icon. That's the only shot I could find of them, and it was so dark I had to tweak it a lot before you could tell who it was. I found it at this site (http://kimera.shadow-dancing.net/potc01.htm).

If there's one thing I can do, it's be enthusiastic about shiny things. And these icons are very shiny! In fact, you made almost a third of the icons I'm using now, and I have another ship one lying in wait still. That's pretty neat, I think.

I ended up having to flip a coin between the Barbossa icons, since I'm really terrible at making choices (I even flipped a coin to decide which college to go to). Thanks for the site link, too. One never knows when these things will come in handy.

I've been told to give you a holler from Viola Cesario and Sensefille... "She's into all kinds of slash," they chorused. So here, 'tis the Farf saying hello. :-) By way of introduction, I am the webkeeper of the All-Ages Kirk/Spock Archive (not to mention my own personal, slightly NON-all-ages K/S site ;-) ), a smalling site of Snape het, and various and sundry other wastes of bandwidth ;-) I think Jeeves is Amazing and I Want One, and butterbeer makes me pass out all over the carpet. ;-)

I am the mommy of a slinky black feline called Claudia, and spend my working hours in a poisoned greenhouse. Thus is life :-)

I love all the cultural stuff about the war--the music, the way people's lives were changed... I guess you can call it that I'm into the stories. Stories of the battles, stories of adventures and how lives were back home, etc. I'm not very coherent right now, and I'm sorry about that. I saw the Ken Burns thingie when I was young and I dunno, I think me and my friend are planning on writing a biographical musical about Robert E Lee one day.

The Ken Burns stuff would convert anyone :) I'm very intrigued about the biographical musical thing - quite an original idea! I'd like to do a true-to-history-yet-fictional novel about the life of Winfield Scott Hancock (sort of like Killer Angels, in a way).

Hey, great idea!! I've half a mind to paint one of my monkeys white, since I'd hate for Barbossa to be without his monkey ('course, that would be contradicting the ending, but oh well). Maybe you could give Ghost!Barbossa a nice big hat so's we know who he is :)
