Happy New Year!

Happy 2005, everyone! I've actually felt like I've had several new years today, first talking on Skype with canthlian as Australia clicked over, then on IM with nostalgia_lj after Scotland did the same, and finally tonight at work. Yeah, had to work on New Year's Eve (even stayed over, as we were terribly busy from 1am til nearly 3 when I finally left), but I doubt I would have spent the evening in any other very exciting manner.

FINALLY have a set of SG1 S7 that works. The customer service guy at Best Buy was so marvelously helpful - he tested the disc for me on one of their computers, let me come back behind to his cubicle to see for myself, and everything works fine. Finally! *happy*

On a sadder note, fans of Hercules: the Legendary Journeys will be sorry to hear that Liddy Holloway (beloved Alcmene and mother of H:tLJ actor Joel Tobeck) died on Wednesday.

Between DVDs and Yuletide stories, I've been rather thoroughly distracted lately. And now I've suddenly been distracted by the thought of cookies. I think I'll have several one. *goes to get cookies*
