Fish in the mail!
Apr. 30th, 2004 12:28 amMy fish arrived! One perch and two clams. I'll have to wait until Monday to take them to school and start dissecting, but still, they're here! Huzzah for fish (even dead ones).
I must admit, I was rather surprised to see that the preparation date included on the MSDS (yes, they included a Material Safety Data Sheet, hee) is July, 1994. 1994! These are some old fish. I just hope their innards are still all nice and shiny.
I'm terribly behind on comments and the like, and have neglected friendslist something awful. Will get to all that this weekend, RL allowing.
On the bright side, I made cookies tonight. Spurred by the memory of
ealgylden's wonderful chocolate mint cookies, I bought a package of those Andes mint chips and used one of mum's recipes, tweaking it a little to make the cookies chocolate. They turned out quite yummy, if a little flat. There must be a secret to making cookies that don't spread out so much when baking.
