Food, fun, and icons.
Jan. 11th, 2004 02:19 amWell, thanks to
cimmerianwillow, Friday proved to be much, much more enjoyable than Thursday. We had pancakes at the IHOP, watched the cast commentary for TTT together (and laughed ourselves silly over Dom and Billy's antics), and discussed everything under the sun, from friends to fandom to real life stuff. A marvelous time was had by all. Thanks for cheering me up so much, Het *hugs*
Today was nice as well. Went out to lunch with my mum and sister in the Arts District, which was lovely. I also dropped by the English Rose to see about getting some pudding to go, but they said it would be rather a long wait. So, I splurged a bit and bought an entire pan of the stuff, frozen, to take home instead *g* I also got a packet of the custard they use (although the one I bought was instant) and a package of vegetable suet which I'm going to try in some of those pudding recipes instead of the animal suet.
Tried the pudding when I got home, and good lord...best. dessert. ever. Sticky Toffee Pudding is now officially my favorite dessert. I'm so going to have to learn to make it. I found a few recipes, and mum picked up some pitted dates for me, so I may give it a try. T'would be a really interesting thing to serve whenever I have people over for dinner.
Also, GIP! For the rest of my Saturday I didn't do much besides take a nap and play with icons.
ealgylden and I have joked before about being fannish magpies, as we sort of wander the internet being distracted by all the shiny things. Thus, iconage. I wanted to play with color more, and I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.
I made another, if
ealgylden or anyone else wants one...

Downloaded a ton of new pixel fonts, as I was really getting tired of the ones I had. Reworked my "music speaks" icon, which I'm considering entering in this week's purple-themed contest over at
i_contest.
