Sci-Fi Channel announces Caprica, a Battlestar Galactica spinoff
A prequel. About the birth of the Cylons. I think I feel the same way I felt when they announced BSG 2003 - this could be either really bad or really amazing.
No word on casting or even if the series will definitely be picked up at all, but who knows. It would be a way to continue the success of the show without dragging BSG out until it has no life left.
