"ripped from the headlines" cliche - yes! It was almost as if they forgot they were doing science fiction and weren't limited to 21st century technology and issues.
Speaking of which, did I miss the part where Garner crossed a transdimensional space/time barrier in the engineering room? It looked as if he left the Pegasus and fixed a World War II submarine. I wanted to shake the writers/producers/setbuilders and say, "Hey! These people built intelligent robots several generations ago! These people can travel faster than the speed of light! These people are driving something a little more sophisticated than a frakkin' radiator!"
The upcoming cylon-pov episode promises to be quite good.
