Gacked from damn near everyone.

Name a fandom you know I know and I'll tell you:

1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin books.

A surprise, I know.

Huh-huh, huh-huh, I said "surprise".

*grins* He who would pun would pick a pocket, m'dear.

1. The first character I first fell in love with - Stephen. Oh, Stephen. Love.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now - Sophie. I have mixed feelings of pity and respect for the poor dear, but I do like her.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't - This one is so easy. Diana. I know I'm supposed to find her strong and admirable and suchlike, but god, I can't stand her. There's just something about her that grates on me something fierce.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates - Are there many hated characters? Besides Mrs Williams, but I don't like her anyway.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer - I don't think I've fallen out of love with any of them.
6. The character I would shag anytime - Another difficult one. Stephen would need a good scrubbing, and Jack is a bit loose for my tastes. Probably Bonden, then :)
7. The character I'd want to be like - A mixture of Jack and Stephen. I'd like Jack's good nature and cunning without the corpulence and lack of social skills, and Stephen...who wouldn't want to be a naturalist and a spy?
8. The character I'd slap - Diana. Hard. And maybe Dillon, too. Jack on occasion, and probably Stephen when he gets all self-destructive.
9. A pairing that I love - Jack/Stephen, though I don't have to have a pairing for these books. They work quite well without one.
10. A pairing that I despise

Whoops, forgot the last question. Pairings I despise - anything with Diana, 'natch.

I guess I'm easy; I'd sleep with just about any of 'em. *g*

Hee. Oh, btw, I found a great site listing some of the language related faux pas in the books - here (http://www.io.com/gibbonsb/pob/lapsii-linguae.html).
