Ahhhh, Fridays, how I love you so. Got sent home today so I have half a day off from work, woot! Still have to go in for 3rd shift tonight at the other job, but I get to sleep and stay home for Sci-Fi Friday for a change, so yay. It also gave me the chance to make a much-needed run to the post office and the bank.

Stopped by a discount shoe place on the way home (where I've gotten great deals before, including my nifty expensive sneakers I snagged for uber cheap) and scored once again. They were having a sale, and I managed to get the last pair of Asolo FSN 99 hiking boots with Gore-Tex for only 7 dollars. The things were 75% off. From the looks of earlier model of these boots, they're pretty expensive normally. Now my feet will be happy and dry when I'm in Wales sloshing through all that rain. *g*

Also got two pairs of khaki pants, one American Eagle brand 60% off (so only about 12 dollars) and J. Crew for only $25. I walked out with a nice haul and didn't even spend fifty bucks in total. I'm slowly but surely stocking up on clothes for the fall, for which I'm in desperate need at this point. Luckily my sweater collection is ample, though I need some nice rain gear and a good cold weather coat. Recommendations are more than welcome! ;)

Go, Bargain Girl! I picked up hiking boots when I was in San Diego from a discount warehouse for something like $10 a pair. Brilliant stuff and took 10 years to wear out.
