New Who, finally...

So, am finally catching up with this season of Dr Who and while I have many, many thoughts that I may have to expand upon later, after watching 5x07 - Amy's Choice...

If anything happens to Amy and Rory and basically Amy/Rory in general I will have to cut a bitch. I'm not usually one for caring overmuch about het 'ships, and certainly not in my Who, but OMG. LOVE. They are bestest buds! She hits him affectionately and saves him from vampires! He responds to alien invasions by Googling them! He cut his ponytail for her!!!

Oh dear. I seriously 'ship them. What on Earth is wrong with me? Eep. I was really iffy at first, b/c I wasn't a fan of Amy being willing to have basically a one-night stand before her wedding, but then they did exactly the right thing and brought Rory along so they could share the wonders together and \o/.

I hate to get attached, b/c this is Dr Who and everyone always seems to get a tragic or really frakked up end, but I can't help it. I want them to stay on the TARDIS together and have adventures and get married, and have more adventures, and then settle down a little and do what they love and never lose touch with the Doctor ever b/c he might just have finally realized that he messes people up and really should try and do better. ♥

I love Amy/Rory almost as much as I love Gwen/Rhys in Torchwood. (And I love them a LOT.)

Well, it is Moff's Who now, so who knows. It may not be so tragic!

Oh, ditto; they are adorable—Rory's one of my new favorite characters on par with Donna and Wilf. I second cutting a bitch if they don't work out—I want this series to end with a wedding!!!! (OK—maybe not something that cheesy, but something very cute would suffice.)

I'm definitely enjoying the season so far. And although the orange color scheme isn't easy on the eyes, I do like all the interesting steampunk-esque gadgets and design.
