Weekend telly roundup.

I have been so bad about updating lately. I'm way behind on TV reports, but here's a quick rundown of this weekend's trilogy of squee.
BSG 4x01 - He That Believeth in Me
It feels like FOREVER since we had new BSG, so having the new season now is almost a weird experience. I was appreciative of the little marathon leading up to the new ep, and although I couldn't watch all of it I did manage to catch the eps at the end of season three. Very helpful.
Most of my thoughts on this are rambling and not so coherent, but in general I really enjoyed it. They opened big with that huge space battle, and as usual it was visually stunning. Loved Lee's reaction to Starbuck being back. I'm very intrigued about what sort of job he's talking about, and I wanted to smack Bill for not asking. He's your son, show some interest!
Anders broke my heart, especially when Kara told him how she'd react if she found out he was a Cylon. Poor guy.
Now that the Chief is a Cylon, I must admit I'm still holding out some hope for him and Boomer. If she ever decides she wants to be human again or at least on their side, that is.
However, I don't need to settle for hope for Laura and Bill when she's still sleeping in his quarters. Woohoo! Those two are so cute.
I'm sure they'll drag out the final revelations as long as possible, and for now I'm going to avoid too much fannish spec on who the final Cylon is. I want to be surprised, damn it.
Torchwood 2x13 - Exit Wounds
Um, ow.
Seriously, that was some good telly (despite some WTFery about the main plot and Gray's motivations), but it hurt. I was so busy worrying about Rhys and PC Andy that I totally didn't expect Tosh to buy it. I wasn't too torn up about Owen, b/c hey, he's already dead, but Tosh...man. That was a fantastic way to go if it had to happen, and she was so damn awesome and tenacious and broke my heart with her little video, but damn, I'm going to miss Tosh.
Dr Who 4x01 - Partners in Crime
Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
That was crazy and full of WTF?! moments and the weirdest CGI creatures ever, but I don't care, I loved it! Donna was awesome, there were good mentions of Martha, and hugging! I loved the hugging. Also, their crazy mimed conversation nearly killed me dead. Catherine Tate is still a very funny lady, and I can only imagine the types of silent conversations Donna and Ten could have just with their facial expressions.
I'm very glad the Doctor realizes that any complicatedness b/w him and Martha was his fault, and that he does know how brilliant she was and how much he's lost now that she's not with him anymore. Very happy.
I could have lived with the first Rose mention but actually seeing her at the end? Um, WTF? And then she faded away? What is this, more Rift activity? Is that going to be part of this season's arc? I'll bet those disappearing bees have something to do with it, too...
In conclusion, Rusty is on crack, but I'm so excited to have the show back that I don't care. More Donna, please! I love how adventurous she's gotten :)
