So much squee!

Still making my way through the Yuletide archive. I'll have plenty to rec whenever I get round to writing up a good list.
Runaway Bride was awesome, despite the annoying flashbacks. Catherine Tate kicked so much ass and although I'm looking forward to meeting Martha, I couldn't help wishing we could keep Donna, even just for a little bit.
Torchwood I liked a bit less, mostly b/c the plot was so recycled from Fight Club. Still, I was pleased that Rhys finally got to say some things to Gwen that needed to be said. They seriously need to keep a better inventory on their Retcon supply - how bad must it be if Suzie can smuggle it out for years and Gwen can just grab a handful to give Rhys on a whim? I like Rhys, so I'd hate to see him go, but he does deserve better than Gwen.
This week's Robin Hood was good, too, though I'm not sure how they're going to write themselves out of the "Marian's dead!!" corner. Not without making a mockery of something, at least. I had to try not to laugh at Robin's angsty weeping - the actor just didn't pull it off for me - but it was mostly good. Will and Allan are so gay for each other, riding off to Scarborough so Allan can meet Will's family and get their approval ;) And I laughed so hard when Much and John echoed Djaq's triumphant "Allah be praised!" when Marian's heart started beating again. Very cute. Definitely looking forward to the next ep, which is the series finale, I believe. Kinda sad to see it end now, after it finally sucked me in.
I received the first season of Rat Patrol from Heather for Christmas, so there's that to watch as well. It's such a cute series and I've fallen hard for Moffitt and all the loving gazes he shares with Troy. Other notable Christmas pressies include a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey jersey (I know they're crap these days, but I'm still a fan) from my parents and the coolest book ever from Katie - The Three Little Pigs (or Y Tri Mochyn Bach) with both English and Welsh. It's a kiddie book, yes, but oh so cute. Now I have new vocab ;)
Anyone doing anything nifty for New Year's?
