More sad news.
Jun. 17th, 2006 10:33 pm*sigh* Although the female in Tank D is still doing ok, one of the smaller cuttles from Tank A must've jumped out this morning. It was dead on the floor when I arrived this afternoon to feed them, so there was nothing any of us could do. Damn things need to stop doing that.
I'll dissect it on Monday to add its cuttlebone to my data pool, but I swear, if it turns out this one was female, I'm going to hurt something. I need more females for my Y-maze experiment and now I'm getting a bit worried about my project. I'd thought the cuttlebone/sex identification stuff plus Y-maze data would be sufficient, even if the Y-maze experiment didn't have enough individuals to yield much to work with statistically, but now I dunno. It may be okay still. I hate fretting about these things.
The babies are still doing well, at least. Here's one of them ( behind the cut )
I'm taking some high res photos of them on Monday, so I'll post some more then.
