Sorry for the utter lack of fannish content lately. I'm afraid the evil report from HELL is sucking out all my fannish squee. When this is over you can expect some squeeing over Black Books, at the very least.
Had to redo nearly half of my stats b/c of various errors and whatnot. Still not convinced things are right, especially the ammonia stuff, but at least my budgets balance out and I get reasonable percentages for scope for growth. Now I just have to write the damn report.
Honestly, this is just massive. I'm still not sure what to include in the appendices, I keep fretting over the freakin' ANOVA tables, everyone keeps emailing and texting each other about the methods b/c no one person has all the information, and when I think about how little I've written so far and how much more I have to go I want to fall over and die. I'm honestly sorry for all the emo posts about this thing but if I don't type out my frustrations I'm liable to cry in front of all the younger kids on my course.
I still have one more day. Now that the stats are done I can just concentrate on writing. It's due by noon on Monday, so even with losing an hour for daylight savings (damn you, daylight savings!!! *shakes fist*), I should make it. It might suck beyond the telling of it, but I'll finish.
Mostly, I think what this module has taught us is that science is all one big LIE and everyone manipulates the data until it does what they want it to do and you can never, ever control for everything you want to control. And even if you do manage to set up the perfect experiment, the animals you use will say "screw you" and proceed to piss all over your data by not eating, not pooing enough, eating each other or simply dying just to spite you.
After this is over we should all go out for a lovely seafood dinner and have as much cracked crab as we can eat, just to show the bastards.
