Damn enablers...
Dec. 3rd, 2005 10:18 pmThanks to some evol enablers on my flist (you know who you are, bitcas), I've just distracted myself from writing my mollusc parasite report by ordering seasons 5 and 6 of Stargate SG-1 and seasons 2 and 3 of Starsky and Hutch. The first two sets are wonderfully free, and they'll even ship to Wales for only $12. The only bad thing is that the SG-1 sets are proving popular and are thus on backorder, dammit. Oh well, by the time they get here I may actually have the free time to watch them.
I also put them on the credit card. My excuse is that there is absolutely nothing else on that card and I need to build up some more credit on it anyway, as it's a brand new card. The only thing I've ever put on there was the laptop, and I paid that off when the first bill came. So yeah, I'm being careful. I'll pay this off first thing as well, b/c Casta hates interest payments.
Ok, so I probably should have spent the birthday money on a bus pass for next term, but people kept smacking me and telling me birthday money was meant for frivolities, not practicalities. I'm going to embrace this idea wholeheartedly and blame these certain people if I go broke later. ;P
Speaking of going broke, I'm trying not to think about the huge, marvelous full-length LOTR soundtrack that's due out this month. I covet this set with a burning passion, but my common sense bitchslaps me every time I even think of it. *sad*
