*hums Manic Monday*

Well, that's one module well and truly over with. Just turned in my second report, secure in the knowledge that no matter what grade I get on it I'll still pass the module. If I do well on it, I think I can pull a 2i at least. Not as well as I'd want, but it's stats, and it's my first module in the British system, so I think I'm doing ok.

The small amount of relief I feel at putting this section behind me is tempered by the fact that we already have two other assignents due in the next two weeks on top of all the lecture time, reading, and practical work during the week and even into the weekend. Yesterday was another day of ship work, and while it was fun I don't like having school stuff on weekends. Next weekend is packed as well, with practicals on Saturday and extra lectures on Sunday. Damn cruel, that.

I made homemade buttermilk biscuits the other day (my mother's recipe) but of course they didn't turn out as well as hers. I miss her kitchen with her dazzling array of cooking tools; specifically I need a pastry blender, but no one here seems to know what that is so I may have to order one. I need to practice with the biscuits some more before I try to make them for the international students.
