The 19th. O.O
Aug. 19th, 2005 09:53 amIt's the 19th. One month to Wales and counting.
Er...let the flailing begin?
*flails on cue*
Omg, I have so much to do. There's packing to think of, and the buying of proper clothing; there's reading to catch up on and whatnot, and I'm so far behind on my Welsh lessons it's shameful.
There's also the various postal services to deride and scorn. Even though the academic registrar person at UWB claims to have sent the School Certification Document for my Stafford loan (which they should have done ages ago when I sent them the bally stuff, but thanks to the stupid loan people they didn't have the right files until I poked them about it and then had to act as the damn middleman for them) on Thursday the 8th, but the loan people say they still don't have it yet. Airmail is the slowest thing ever, I swear. Could they not have faxed it, for crying out loud?
*panics* I have to have the loan paperwork, like now, so I can send off all the documents the embassy needs for my visa application (and now I'm certainly going to have to fork over for overnight expedited shipping and such, so it gets there in time). Anyone have any info on how last minute visa applications can be? I've been sitting on the dratted thing for weeks b/c I can't send it in without proof of government funding (I can apply online, but the certified documents have to be sent snailmail), and I won't have that until the loan people process things on their end and send me the info. That had better be this week or I'm sunk. If it comes down to the wire, should I just send in the application anyway, sans loan info, and just tell them it's being processed? I have no idea on my odds for visa acceptance w/o that info. The application itself is horrid and they want to know all this stuff I just don't know yet.
