not GAFIAting, honestly

Eep. Just realized I haven't updated in almost a week. Can only claim distraction by work and Soapgate and lack of enough free time.

I've been meaning to write up my thoughts about the recent SG1 and 'lantis eps now airing in the US, as well as for Moebius part 1, and then the marvelousness that is House and the new BSG, but can't seem to sit down and do it.

Maybe my fannish pep needs a jump start.

Pulled out my S1 set of the X-Files DVDs tonight, am currently watching "Beyond the Sea". Really, season one has some of the best tv ever. I haven't seen some of these eps in years, had almost forgotten some of them completely. Scully was my first girl!crush, and in high school, I wanted to be her. Considered being a forensic pathologist b/c of her. After graduation, I even got my hair cut to match hers (circa seasons 4 and 5, mostly).

Also - no matter how many years Don S. Davis plays Hammond, he'll always be Daddy Scully to me, first and foremost. *loves Cpt. Ahab*

God, I love this ep. Such a strong episode for the first season of a show. Classic. And I'm sure this is all Peter Jackson had to look at to know Brad Dourif would be an excellent Wormtongue. He plays freaky characters like this so very well.
