Wow. Ok, I've never been an Eminem fan. I find rap to be harsh, grating, and usually not very musical (at least according to my definition). I also don't care for foul language in the lyrics.

However.

Yes, however. So many people on my flist have been promoting his new video, Mosh, I went and had a look.

Wow. I will admit to being floored. That is powerful. The lyrics, the images, the dark, pounding beat...I had shivers.

The basic message? Please vote. It is a right, a priviledge, a power we can all legally wield. I'll be up all night, so I'm going to get in line as soon as the polls open. If you're not sure where your poll station is, go to this website and find out. If you encounter voter harrassment, or are told you aren't registered when you know you are, ask for a provisional ballot (they have to give you one, it's the law).

Tomorrow is going to be the most stressful day. I'm so tightly strung about the election, worried about my plans for the next few years, and I'm tired of fighting with my mum about it all. I hate feeling like my and my sister's votes are only counteracting my parents'. I'm tired of hearing about stories like this. I'm just tired.

I think I need to go read some pr0n now...

Am home from voting. Got there about half an hour before the polls opened so I could get a good place in line, and so was among the first thirty people or so.

Did not get a sticker, which some LJers seem to be getting. Cheap bastards.

Bedtime now. I have to work tonight, which is going to suck, b/c I know I'm going to be nervous and jittery and probably snappish until we hear the results. I need to know whether my plans for the next few years are going to change or not.
