Much pimping to be had herein.
Jul. 23rd, 2004 03:41 pmCalling any and all Scrubs fan,
sabine101 has created a new community -
scrubsfic. Such a brilliant show deserves a more cohesive fandom (and more fic, dammit), so come lend your support!
One of my favorite communities to browse is
cap_it, a place where LJers post screencaps from every movie imaginable. They even take requests, and it's a great place to find those elusive caps you just have to have for an icon.
For those of you who haven't seen this yet (maybe, oh, five of you), go check out
cimmerianwillow's latest artistic endeavor. Horatio/Archie, and a warning for mild nudity if you need it (definitely not work-safe). Go forth and tell her how utterly brill she is.
Over in
vidding, there is, as far as I know, the first Everwood vid. It's slash, Bright/Ephram, and the picture quality is terrific.
daegaer is still playing in the GM Fenn-dom universe, with great results. Last month she posted a new Bracy/Gedge piece LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle for
musesfool's Psalm Story Challenge. (btw, go check out the rest of the Psalm challege, there's some good stuff over there).
She also wrote the magnificent Expressing Egrets, but you might want to go check out her other posts on the book it's based on, Shoulder Arms! or A Tale of Two Soldier's Sons first.
permetaform is asking the POTC fandom to share one memory from when they first saw the movie:
I remember the first time I saw PotC in the theaters and:
It's hard to choose just one moment, but when Jack finally gets the Black Pearl back at the end, he takes the wheel and caresses it with this adoring look in his eyes. I remember feeling "YES, that's how it should be, this awesome pirate who is born to the sea, who loves it and his ship more than anything" and getting all silly and giggly yet contemplative at the same time.
What do *YOU* remember about the first time you watched the movie?
Describe one memory, and one only.
Share your squee.
Post in your own journal.
Pass it on.
For giggles, go check out this week's Over the Hedge comic. Start with monday and read the entire week. There's a message in there somewhere, and it's most amusing :)

deborak, BugMeNot.com is the place to go for access to all those newspaper websites who want you to register before you can read anything. Basically, a clever way to avoid unwanted cookies. Love this site.
Here endeth the pimpage.
