Squid therapy?
Jun. 22nd, 2004 12:07 amGeez, when I mope, I mope. Luckily, I have all of you to cheer me up :) Thanks for all the hugs, kind thoughts, and good advice. I now find myself actually contemplating moving to North Carolina for a while, and maybe do the maritime program at East Carolina University in a year or two. I've had my eye on it for a while, and it's a great program.
In my own effort to cheer myself up, I made a t-shirt. I'd been wanting to make some for a while, as the t-shirt industry never seems to target my specific demographic (read: absolute nutter) and interests (read: ships, cannons, and strange sea creatures).
This is the design I made in Photoshop:

Shut up,
keleos. Yes, it's a squid. Isn't he cute? I also stuck in the little "pastede on" CrystalWank reference, just b/c it made me laugh and b/c I could. I did the iron-on thing and put it on a blue-sleeved baseball t-shirt, which turned out rather well, I must say (despite ruining several sheets of transfer paper before getting it right). It has pleased me to no end. I think I might make a Welsh shirt next.
In an effort to inject some fannishness into this post, Friday's Monk marathon on USA entertained me as much as my shirt. I always meant to watch that show, but never managed, and now I'm kicking myself, b/c it kicks ass. Such a marvelously quirky little show, even if no one's writing fic for it. If Ted Levine's character weren't married, I'd slash him myself. Adorable and cranky, and Sunday's ep had handholding. Happiness.
