Have spent much of the weekend watching Miracles, and am so very much in love. Oh yes. So far I've watched the pilot through episode 8, and there hasn't been a single ep in which I couldn't find something to love (and with most, I didn't have to look very hard).
This is bittersweet, however, since the series has long been cancelled, and the fandom is one of the smallest in which I've ever participated. Few good fics to speak of, despite much searching. These are the times I wish I could write serious stuff, so I could contribute something besides humorous snippets and icons.
In other news, Shrove Tuesday is this week, which means Pancake Day! I'm considering doing a reading lesson on it and making various pancakes from around the world for the groups (unsure how to go about such an undertaking, though, unless I prepare them beforehand and just bring them into the teachers' workroom and use the microwave), but will certainly bring some pancakes for lunch that day.
I found a recipe for Swedish Pancakes that sounds good (I've had them before, and I think I can get lingonberry jam here), or there are some good links for French crepes that would work. Or a Danish Pancake recipe that also sounds good...hm, decisions, decisions.
Do any of you have favorite pancake recipes to share? Do you plan to eat pancakes this Tuesday? I'm not sure how widespread the custom is, though the British and Anglicans around the world observe the day.
Here's one of my favorites - ( Irish Oatmeal Pancakes )
