Ugh, what a day...
Oct. 14th, 2003 09:04 pmNot the best day today. We were observed today in our reading groups, and although I felt like everyone has been doing well, I overheard the principal telling someone that the observations hadn't gone well. Not sure what that will mean for all of us.

In happier news, my silver charms came today! I presented my mum with the hummingbird and french horn (she totally squeed over the french horn, as she hadn't been able to find one anywhere). My little naval cannon is so very cool, and I can't wait to get a silver chain for it so I can wear it, and advertise my weird obsession to all the world *g*

Um, very weird thing just happened. I have a message on my answering machine that my fingerprints (taken for the teaching job) have been rejected by the FBI. I have to call a number, presumably set up a new appointment. This worries me. On what possible basis could they have been rejected? I do hope they were just smudged, or something.
To assuage the pain of my lack of new Jeeves books, I started The Hound of the Baskervilles today. Somehow, in spite of all my Holmes reading, I missed this one (yeah, the most famous one, go figure), so this will be new. It's good so far, and I look forward to the mystery, even if I already know "whodunnit" :)
