Jeeves, job, and other assorted j-words.

I had my interview at Arnold Elementary this afternoon. I think it went well. I believe I scored points with my answers about reading, since later in the conversation they explained about their literacy program which is their main focus. Evidently a large part of their school population comes from poorer families, and many of them start kindergarten already behind in academics. A good deal of my job would revolve around reading, which pleases me. So, to sum up, I think I have a pretty good shot at the job. And, after learning about their school, I'm wanting to get the job more and more. I should know in a day or two, either way.

In another high point of the day, I dropped by the library on the way home to check out the compilation which has The Return of Jeeves in it. Much to my joy, I found a copy of The Catnappers which had previously eluded me! They had hidden it in the mystery section, the sneaky blighters. It looks brand new; I'm thinking either it's a recent acquisition, or no one's ever checked it out before. The latter option is rather depressing. Still, more Jeeves, yay!

I started on The Return of Jeeves, and am already missing my Bertie. I may have to read Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves at the same time to get my fix. Still, I'm braving the Bertie-less Jeeves, along with rosabuddatchery and viola_cesario.
