I was very frustrated with Lee and Kara for what they DIDN'T say:
Kara: Um, apparently a month has gone by and I haven't apologized for shooting you. Sorry.
Early on, when Lee was chewing Kara out for her attitude on Pegasus:
Kara: Oh, by the way, Garner ordered his pilots to withhold critical information from me.
And then, later on: Lee: Now that Garner has ignored my recommendations, disobeyed Adama, endangered the entire ship, and arrested me for insubordination, I understand what you were dealing with and I will stop being high-and-mighty about your attitude when I came on board.
*sigh*
As for the other plot... yeah, what you said. Both sides were a mess.
Some more should-have-saids:
Laura: Gaius, it's nice of you to summarize your report for me so I don't have to read it. Now, I don't like you, I don't trust you, and during a near-death experience I recently remembered seeing you with a Cylon agent shortly before the destruction of Caprica. Give me the damn report and let me draw my own damn conclusions.
And on a sheer PRACTICAL level, without taking sides on the issue:
Laura: From now on, parents *and grandparents* will be rewarded for every live birth in the family regardless of legitimacy, and anyone who harasses a pregnant woman or girl will be subject to severe criminal action.
