*headdesk*

My father just scoffed at a segment on The Rachel Maddow Show (I'm certainly alone in my family when it comes to my love for this magnificent new pundit) and told me he liked Sarah Palin.

Liked her. Defended her violation of ethics laws as governor by pulling out the old "Clinton lied under oath" gem (which sure, was wrong, but it doesn't make other people's lying right in comparison).

I want this damn election to be over with, plz. I can't take the stress or the family tension. I swear I'm the only person in my immediate family who watches the news at all (no, mom, Entertainment Tonight doesn't count).

*sigh* Anyway.

Didn't do a damn thing for Halloween apart from hand out some candy. With all the anxiety over my interview, I kept forgetting Halloween was today. So I did some knitting instead. Finally cold enough here to wear mittens! In the mornings, at least. Time to do some stash busting. I'd like to do a nice dressy type scarf, maybe laceweight, but the thought of knitting flat with straights again just seems so boring.

Agreed. I am so tired of the political ads. Both sides are just pathetic.

While the odds of me agreeing with a host from Air America are somewhat less than Rosanne Barr becoming a Victoria's Secret model, wrong is wrong.

Bringing up Clinton's impeachment is a sad ploy by now. It's over. He lied and had bad taste in women, we get it.

Palin, seems to have used some strongarm tactics, that I do not care for. Still not voting Biden :)

I really, really hate the ads. Funnily enough, John Cleese was on Countdown with Keith Olbermann tonight (he wrote some hilarious poems poking fun at Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reily) saying we needed to get rid of the paid political advertising like they've done in the UK. I'm all for it.

Get rid of paid political advertising -- count me in.

The upside of this dog-and-pony show is its enetertainment value. Still, it's gotten like a good song on the radio: overplayed to DEATH.

Very true. And yet, I can't turn it off or look away. *facepalm*
