The Sound of Drums
OMG, I have no coherent thoughts this week! I am floored by the awesomeness!
John Simm as the Master has won me over so much. He is GLEEFULLY mad and charismatic and flirts with the Doctor ("Are you asking me out on a date?" indeed!) and has put the world in such peril I have no idea how they're going to fix it. He literally decimated the planet, and actually used the word correctly for which I will love him forever. So much glee!
However, it looks like Martha will get to save the world. I've no idea how she'll manage it, but I think it'll be awesome. The Master has her family and she's going to be kicking ass and taking names to get them back. Oh yes. Despite Ten's assertion that the Master is his responsibility (And dude, he wants to save the Master, not kill him. He wants to fly away into the sunset with him and travel the universe and not be alone anymore! Dude!), Martha is so going to be the catalyst in this.
The poor TARDIS! I can't imagine how they're going to fix her, either. She and Ten both got an extreme makeover in this ep.
Oh, and Jack! Can't forget Jack. Canonically pining for the Doctor so much that he revamped Torchwood in his honor. Next week he gets to be all hot and sweaty and amazing, though we never expected any less.
I love this show so much. It as kept me on the edge of my seat lately the way no other show is doing right now. I adore it. Can it be next week now, plz?
