For some reason, the Official Stargate website decided now would be a good time to give the slashers a shout-out.
By putting up a "favorite Atlantis slash pairing" poll on the main page.
However, your only choices are Shep/McKay, Teyla/Weir, and Ronon/McKay. No Beckett, no Zelenka, not even a frickin' "other" category. It's no damn wonder the fandom's OTP is winning by a wide margin. There's no way to disagree with the choices except by not taking part in the poll.
I swear, I still enjoy the show, but the fandom is enough to harsh any squee that remains. Even the mere mention of Shep/McKay is enough to give me a headache these days (and we won't mention the stupid portmanteau), and I'm petty enough to start adblocking icons.
*sigh* Next season should be interesting.
