Atlantis ramblings...

Spent Thursday with [livejournal.com profile] cimmerianwillow hanging out and showing her the two latest Atlantis eps (heh, I'll get her loving Beckett/McKay sooner or later *g*). As is our wont, we also discussed slash in general and the representation, or lack thereof, of gay relationships in television.

Cut for longwindedness... )

On a happier note, GIP for Rodney cuteness, b/c I think this may be my favorite pic of him ever. He's absolutely adorable, and I blame him for a good portion of the loss of my cognitive function lately.

Atlantis rec!

All fans of Beckett/McKay, run over to [livejournal.com profile] beckett_mckay now and check out this new story by [livejournal.com profile] doctorv. Carson/Rodney smut. Gooood smut. Snarky, playful, and the voices are great.

Man, the images that left in my head. I've got to leave in a few minutes for church, dash it all! What a thing to be thinking of during the creeds...*headdesk*

omg, David u r teh sex

Heeeee. I just stumbled across the most amusing pics of David Hewlett ever *snicker*

naked David butt - C'mon, you know you wanna ;) It's from his 1990 arthouse movie Where the Heart Is, which I know not-very-much-at-all about.

The site, Absolute David Hewlett, hasn't been updated for several years, but it's got some great pics and even some sound file downloads. Most are from the DVD commentary of Cube (these commentaries are killing me - too many movies I might never otherwise own, then I hear the commentaries and must have them).

There are also some amusing quotes:

This movie (CUBE) was almost perfect. Almost because at some points some of the acting seemed amateurish. That said, David Hewlett who played Worth was so fucking goddamned cool that I'm going to call Trimark and demand they cut an action-figure deal with someone just so I can own my very own Worth.----------Harry Jay Knowles, Ain't It Cool News

Looks like David has some fanboys out there as well as fangirls.

I have to say that David even at 14 or 15 was a complete professional,
Even when I covered him in chocolate sauce. -------------Vincenzo Natali, director of CUBE

Hee. I'd like to know just when David was covered in chocolate sauce, please.

I've added this site and a few other links to my previous Atlantis resource post.
