Oh, Conwy is beautiful. I spent a whole day there, wandering around the town and walking the walls. There's an Elizabethan-era townhouse that's quite a nice experience, and a little street inside the town walls that has three or four lovely tearooms; I don't remember the name of this particular one, but it was upstairs and decorated in Victorian pinks, all rose-coloured and floral, very pretty. And the cakes were wonderful.
Of course, I don't know your mom, but I'd definitely have taken my mom there for tea and Victorian sponge cake.
