First day of school.

Well, I survived my first day of school :) Today was only a training day, but I learned a lot and am really starting to get excited about this. I had lunch with the principal, two teachers, and another newbie, which was fun. Evidently I'm not going to be exclusively with the special ed groups; since I have a science degree, they want me to work with some of the older, more advanced readers with their science-related nonfiction books. I love the idea of getting to share my practical knowledge of my field and tell stories of my experiences with science. This is going to be fun!
I say, having a job I'm actually looking forward to is a rather novel thing for me. I think I like it :)
Saw The Medallion, the new Jackie Chan movie, tonight with my friend Dan from high school. It was...actually I dunno. Definitely an odd movie. I found some of the humor funny, and some of it rather silly. The female co-star was certainly too young to be Jackie's love interest, IMO. The male partner (Lee Evans) was cute but they made him far too bumbling at times. It was an interesting movie, but I'm not sure it was worth the $6.50.
Part 1 of the Stargate summer season finale is tonight, and looks good. Does anyone know if they'll be showing part 2 next week? Is this the end of the whole season or just a hiatus? I never could make sense of the Sci-Fi Channel's schedule.
I got a lovely package in the mail today, containing a bunch of Sherlock Holmes tapes, courtesy of the lovely and generous
lanning. I can't wait to sit down and watch my fill of Jeremy Brett and David Burke :) Thank you from the depths of my soul, Lanning!

Congrats
